Summit Soiree Brings Crowds to the Top of the Mountain

On August 11 over 150 attendees enjoyed the Summit Soiree, held atop Greenbrier Mountain and featuring 5 custom homes in Greenbrier Summit Village. These homes, all on the market, showcased the best in mountain living, with vernacular architectural designs, fine art provided by Walls Fine Art Gallery and fabulous views to the surrounding Allegheny Mountains. A few of the homes offered developer and seller incentives, including Summit 19 and 48, which provide one free year of dues for 2013 if the property is contracted by October 1, 2012 and closed by year’s end, and Summit 34, of which the owner has crafted an attractive home package, valid through October 31, 2012, that includes a Porsche Panamera, a $125k jet card and other exciting items.

While members and prospects both enjoyed touring the marvelous mountaintop homes, a number of other activities awaited them at The Summit Lodge, including a falconry program, which showcased the resort’s many hawks, eagles and owls. Falconry is always a hit with the entire family and for many it was their first introduction to the “Sport of King’s.” Miniature golf on the new Summit Links golf course provided fun for the entire family as well, as a perfect summer evening offered up some idyllic weather.

The popular duo Dueling Fiddlers played during a delicious dine around prepared by Summit chefs Stacy Reeves and Hannah Reed, as well as cupcakes and other epicurean delights by executive pastry chef Amy Mills.

At the end of the evening, prospects raved about the homes on the tour and were drawn to the mountaintop atmosphere.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout to showcase our pinnacle of real estate, Greenbrier Summit Village,” says Stacy Eskins, Director of Marketing. “For many this event was a rare glimpse into what the Sporting Life has to offer members at America’s Resort and we look forward to welcoming them back as future homeowners.”
